Equipped with an infrared sensor, the motion sensor can detect with a span of up to 120-degrees. It can also sense movement up to 5-7m (16-23 feet) away if directly in front or 2-3m (7-10 feet) if on the side. The motion sensor is only activated when the light sensor detects darkness. It’s a clever way to save electricity and have it light up only when needed.
